Medical Device Technical Writer

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technical Writer II to develop, edit, and maintain compliant Quality System documentation supporting manufacturing operations. This role partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Technical teams to create accurate documentation, manage document changes, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Success requires strong attention to detail, organization, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and maintain Quality System documents, manufacturing work instructions, forms, guidance procedures, risk files, user manuals, job aids, and technical bulletins.
• Research technical information using engineering drawings, design/test specifications, product prototypes, and SME interviews.
• Create and update flowcharts, diagrams, and visual aids.
• Support manufacturing projects, including process scale-ups, and manage the full document development lifecycle.
• Track document progress, communicate status, incorporate feedback, support document change training, and ensure project milestones are met while improving documentation processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Strong written/verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience creating compliant technical documentation and presenting complex information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, technical documentation processes, and engineering documentation.
• SAP experience is preferred.
