Role: Software Engineer SRE (Backend / DevOps).
Location: Remote.
Contract: 3 months with possible extension.
Experience: 3-10+ years.

About the Role
We are looking for strong engineers with a mix of backend development and DevOps skills, who have built and scaled real products. This is a hands-on individual contributor role not a management position.
The focus is on people who have worked in product companies and understand how systems behave in production, not just in theory.
What You ll Do
-Build and maintain backend systems and services
-Write clean, production-grade code (Python preferred)
-Work with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, K3S)
-Participate in system design and architecture discussions
-Deploy, monitor, and improve system reliability and performance
-Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ship scalable features
Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
-3 10 years of experience in software engineering
-Background in product companies only (no IT services experience)
-Strong hands-on coding experience (Python preferred)
-Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or K3S
-Experience working on scalable backend systems or infrastructure
-Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
-Currently working as an Individual Contributor (IC)
Nice to Have
-Experience with distributed systems
-Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
-Understanding of system performance, monitoring, and reliability
