Senior .NET Developer

Title: Senior Software Developer

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy scalable backend Azure APIs and web applications, primarily using C# and .NET Core 8 and above.
• Test extensively to confirm that the applications meet the initial functional specifications.
• Implement DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
• Provide inputs to software systems strategy, architecture, and standards.
• Ensure all software projects are executed within predefined timelines and budgets in compliance with relevant regulatory or statutory compliance.
• Define and govern incident/problem & disaster recovery for system and application support.
• Collaborate with other technical experts to implement software system initiatives.
• Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations for improvement of IT Systems and applications.
• Develop best practices to ensure software functionality, usability, reliability, and availability.
• Stay educated on existing and state of the art technologies and evaluate technology fits for effective delivery.
• Participate in shared responsibility for 24x7 research and resolution of production system problems.
• Mentor junior team members to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
• May perform project management duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum experience: 4+years of IT experience in systems programming and development.
• Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.
• Proven experience in application troubleshooting/debugging and performance testing.
• Experience in SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, CI/CD).
• Experience working with business stakeholders to identify and document requirements.
• Highly proficient with .NET/C# development, .NET Core and .NET Standard.
• Proficient with Azure Cloud Development with the following Azure Resources:
• Azure Service Bus
• Azure CosmosDB
• Azure Storage
• Azure Functions
• Experience with SQL (MS SQL preferred), stored procedures, REST API, and GraphQL.
• Proficient with Git/GitHub, branching strategies, and familiarity with continuous integration.
• Expertise with Azure DevOps, including but not limited to:
• Pipeline development
• Environment Management
• Nuget Artifacts
• Experience with Terraform is required.
• Familiarity with ReactJS is a plus.
• Strong object-oriented design skills.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
