Senior Architect (Policy as Code)

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Senior Architect (Policy as Code) for an opportunity with a client located in Newark, DE.

Responsibilities:

• Translate legal, regulatory (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA), and internal corporate policies into actionable, executable code (e.g., using Rego for OPA/Gatekeeper)


• Design and implement guardrails for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes manifests


• Embed policy checks directly into CI/CD pipelines to validate compliance during the build/deploy phases, preventing non-compliant infrastructure from being provisioned


• Build automated tools for configuration drift detection, compliance scanning, and continuous security posture monitoring


• Partner with Security, DevOps, and Risk teams to define security reference architectures and ensure they align with Zero Trust principles


• Educate developers and engineers on secure coding practices, policy as code standards, and best practices for compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or related field


• At least 10 years of experience in application or platform architecture and design, preferable in multiple roles


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• Hands on experience designing, automating, and using CI/CD processes for Java VM and containerized applications


• Experience in the formation, adoption and governance of technical policies and standards


• Experience in technology governance and compliance reporting processes


• Proficiency in some or all of Python, Go, SQL, Excel, HTML, and/or confluence wiki for prototype creation


• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Experience in one or multiple BofA technology areas


• Tool technical Experience: Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub or other SCM, Sonar, Java development, SQL and no-SQL databases, Alteryx


• Experience with VM, Terraform and OpenShift container deployment practices


• Experience implementing canary or Blue/Green release models


• Knowledge and experience with machine learning and data science concepts


• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLM) and their use, training, and capabilities


• Experience in one or more BofA technology areas (Development, Production Support, Deployment, etc)


• Tool & technical Experience: Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub or other SCM, Sonar, Java development, SQL and no-SQL databases, Alteryx


• Experience automating CI/CD processes


• Experience with VM, Terraform and OpenShift container deployment practices


• Experience implementing canary or Blue/Green release models


• Knowledge and experience with machine learning and data science concepts


• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLM) and their use and capabilities


• Strong skills with Excel data manipulation and macro generation
