What you bring to the table:- Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
- Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Ability to communication effectively with the customer and our vendors
- Self-Starter, hands on leader to for prototype efforts
- Understanding of Server Management, OS configuration, remote connections
- Knowledge of Switches; physical connectivity, and logical configurations
- Router configurations including IP Tables and subnets
- Network Testers
o STE: Viavi T-BERD
o Configuration and Operation - Fiber optic transceivers use and configuration
- Timing Distribution: 10Mhz, 1PPS, NTP/PTP
- Network Protocol (UDP, TCP, Layer 2, Vita 49)
- Internet and Optical Physical Layers
