Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Platform Specialist to support the administration, maintenance, modernization, and optimization of enterprise technology platforms and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in platform engineering, cloud technologies, operating systems, automation, system integration, DevSecOps, and enterprise application support.

The IT Platform Specialist will be responsible for ensuring platform availability, reliability, security, and performance while supporting software deployments, infrastructure automation, cloud migration initiatives, and day-to-day operational support. This role requires close collaboration with software developers, cloud engineers, cybersecurity teams, architects, and business stakeholders to maintain stable and scalable enterprise environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise platforms, operating systems, and application environments.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, capacity, and reliability to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Support enterprise application deployments and infrastructure upgrades across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Implement platform automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated software deployments.
  • Administer and support GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence platforms.
  • Support software build, release management, and CI/CD administration.
  • Support Selenium-based automated testing frameworks.
  • Support cloud infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and hybrid computing environments.
  • Perform system administration, patch management, configuration management, and platform hardening activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex platforms, infrastructure, application, and deployment issues.
  • Maintain platform security by implementing system updates, access controls, and security best practices.
  • Support enterprise monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Assist in cloud migration, application modernization, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain platform documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, release planning, change management, and production support activities.
  • Ensure platform environments comply with security, operational, and enterprise governance standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve platform scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in platform engineering, systems administration, infrastructure support, or enterprise platform management.
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with system administration, platform monitoring, configuration management, and performance tuning.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, networking, and storage technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure and application issues.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting for system administration.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise cloud migration initiatives.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Experience implementing containerized application platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and platform security best practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Industry certifications in Cloud, Linux, Microsoft, VMware, Kubernetes, or DevOps are preferred.
