Job Title: Datacenter Technician
Job Location: Olathe, KS
Job Type: Contract
Pay Range: $20.00hr - $25.00hr
Job Overview:
- 5-10 years of experience.
- Understanding of server and network hardware.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions from remote teams.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards.
- Willingness to work in shifts for 247 coverage.
- Assist vendors or engineers with secure access to the datacenter.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware changes and asset tags.
- Rack and stack servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
- Connect and disconnect power and network cables.
- Perform basic diagnostics.
- Replace faulty hardware components such as disks, memory, and power supplies.
- Manage cable installation and labeling for compliance.
- Perform network patching and port verification.
- Execute power cycling and reboot devices as instructed.
- Conduct routine health checks on hardware and environmental conditions.
- Report any physical security or compliance violations immediately.
- Coordinate with remote teams for emergency troubleshooting.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the datacenter.
