Summary

We are seeking an experienced Netcool Developer with strong expertise in IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps (CP4AIOps) to support integration, migration, and automation of enterprise monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the IBM Netcool suite and experience working in hybrid cloud environments, enabling intelligent event management and AIOps-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities

Integrate and migrate traditional IBM Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) environments into IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps
Connect on-prem systems such as Netcool/OMNIbus and Netcool/Impact with Cloud Pak using native connectors
Migrate existing event rules, filters, automations, and runbooks into AIOps platform
Ensure bidirectional synchronization of event data between Netcool and Cloud Pak
Configure event mapping, transformation rules (e.g., JSONata) for consistent processing
Develop and maintain automation policies and runbooks using Netcool/Impact, Python, or Bash
Support AIOps by ensuring high-quality data for ML models (event correlation, anomaly detection, risk analysis)
Build application-centric topology views using Cloud Pak AIOps capabilities
Integrate with third-party tools such as Splunk, ServiceNow, Slack
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hybrid-cloud issues
Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and operations teams

Hybrid / Cloud-based infrastructure
Cross-functional collaboration (DevOps, SRE, IT Ops)

Experience Required

Typically 5-10+ years in Netcool / Monitoring tools
Hands-on experience in AIOps transformation projects

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to AI/ML in IT Operations
Experience in enterprise monitoring modernization initiatives
