Custom Business Solutions, a Michigan-based talent agency, is seeking an experienced Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Engineer for a remote workplace opportunity. Qualified candidates submitting an application will be considered for this contract opportunity.
The Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions that support critical business operations. This role requires deep expertise in Guidewire configuration and integration development, strong Java development skills, and the ability to analyze and reverse engineer existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and functionality.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Extensive experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations
- Expert-level knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter Configuration and Integration development
- Strong Guidewire Data Model knowledge
- Experience with Gosu scripting and Guidewire Studio
- Advanced Java development experience (Java 21 preferred)
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and modular application design
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot (3.4.x preferred)
- Proven experience reverse engineering and analyzing existing codebases
- Experience integrating Guidewire ClaimCenter with external systems
- Hands-on experience with SOAP and REST API integrations
DESIRED SKILLS
- Guidewire certifications including:
- ClaimCenter Specialist
- Configuration Developer
- Integration Developer
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- CI/CD and DevOps experience
- Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes experience
- Experience developing Guidewire integrations and enterprise-scale solutions
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
