RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Allen, TX that is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Technician to support enterprise data center and on-site IT environments. This role is responsible for hands-on hardware support, server and network device lifecycle management, and operational support activities, working closely with Tier 1 teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures and connectivity issues across server, network, and related infrastructure components
* Perform system reconfigurations, workload rebalancing, and environment adjustments to support operational stability and performance
* Deploy, install, decommission, and remove servers, network devices, and associated rack equipment in accordance with documented standards
* Utilize remote management tools and basic scripting to automate routine maintenance, monitoring, and operational tasks
* Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps; Provide guidance and mentoring to Tier 1 support technicians
* Support procurement and asset lifecycle processes, including requisitions, receiving, asset tagging, tracking, and updates within systems such as SAP or Ariba
* Escort and assist collocated personnel, vendors, and service providers to ensure safe and compliant access to controlled environments
* Manage incidents, requests, and escalations using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, ensuring timely communication and resolution
* Read and follow design drawings, specifications, schematics, and blueprints to support installations and infrastructure changes
* Adhere to established operational, safety, and security standards while working in data center or technical facility environments
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience providing hands-on infrastructure or data center support, including servers, network equipment, and related hardware
* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues
* Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and basic asset or inventory management processes
* Ability to follow technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
* Strong communication skills with the ability to document work clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
