Network / System Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves managing complex infrastructure projects within a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives related to infrastructure provisioning, security, data center migrations, and End of Life programs, working closely with business and technology teams to ensure standards and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects related to infrastructure provisioning, security projects, data center migrations, and End of Life Programs
• Lead meetings and communicate technical details related to projects
• Work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
• Build trusted relationships with the business and technology teams
• Analyze and communicate capacity management related tasks
• Communicate standards and best practices to Lines of Businesses
• Work with System Administrator teams to help ensure server standards are being met
• Coordinate in Linux virtual and physical builds, upgrades, patching, and support

Requirements:

• 5+ years of work experience, including 3 years in Technical Project Management roles
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic
• Strong background in networks, storage, hardware, and data centers
• Experience in supporting large enterprises
• Strong project and process leader
• Presentation, reporting, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (physical server hosting, virtual machine hosting, storage, network, database, middleware, network traffic management, Network DMZ)
• Jira software experience
• Background in cloud, virtualization, and bare-metal environments
• Understand technical concepts like DNS, Active Directory, NAS, Firewall, Proxy, SMTP
• Background in clustering, disaster recovery, and high availability

Desired skills:

• System Administrator background preferred
• Strong Linux background strongly preferred
• Scrum background preferred

Pay range: $53.52 - $61.52 per hour
