Azure Application Lead(.Net with Azure)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Azure Application Development Lead to lead the design, development, Support, modernization, and delivery of enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure. The role combines hands-on engineering, architecture ownership, team leadership, and close collaboration with customer stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in .NET, cloud-native development, APIs, Azure services, and DevOps, with a proven ability to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a development team through requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design and develop applications using C#, Core, .NET, REST APIs, and Azure services.
• Define application architecture, service boundaries, integration patterns, and technical standards.
• Lead application modernization, including migration of existing applications to Azure.
• Select appropriate Azure services, balancing functionality, security, availability, performance, and cost.
• Implement asynchronous processing and event-driven integration using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or Event Hubs.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Implement identity and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and Azure Key Vault.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and manage technical debt.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and platform engineers to deliver agreed outcomes.
• Own technical estimates, identify delivery risks, and communicate progress and dependencies.
• Implement application monitoring, troubleshoot production issues, and lead root cause analysis.
• Maintain architecture documentation, deployment procedures, and operational handover materials.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, Core, and REST API development.
• Experience developing and deploying applications using Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management.
• Proficiency with Azure SQL Database or SQL Server, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure Storage and messaging services such as Azure Service Bus.
• Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, resilience patterns, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub, Git workflows, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with Application Insights and Azure Monitor for application observability.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, secure coding, and code quality practices.
• Proven experience leading developers and owning technical delivery.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React or Angular for full-stack application development.
• Experience with Docker, Azure Container Apps, or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Familiarity with Azure Cosmos DB and caching solutions.
• Experience integrating applications with SAP, CRM, ERP, or other enterprise platforms.
• Exposure to Azure Logic Apps and enterprise workflow automation.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled application features using Azure AI services.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience in consulting or a system integrator environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
