ETRM Solution Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly experienced Integration / Solution Architect to join our Trading & Supply technology team. This role is a key technical leadership position responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end architectures for a global Energy Trade and Risk Management (ETRM) platform on Azure.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering leads to design scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions that support the full trading lifecycle across physical and financial energy markets.

This role requires deep knowledge of commodities trading, strong cloud and data architecture expertise, and the ability to lead architecture decisions across complex enterprise landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Act as the primary architecture authority for Trading & Supply IT initiatives.

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across business process, data, application, integration, infrastructure, and security layers.

• Lead architecture design sessions and provide guidance to delivery teams, business analysts, and technical leads.

• Review and approve detailed solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

• Participate in Architecture Review Boards and provide architectural assurance.

Integration & Data Architecture

• Design and govern event-driven and API-based integration architectures across trading platforms.

• Define data architecture using Data Mesh / Medallion models for trading and risk analytics.

• Design solutions for high-volume, real-time, and time-series data.

• Integrate ETRM platforms with downstream systems including risk, finance, logistics, and reporting.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

• Architect cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure including:

  • Azure Functions, Web Apps

  • Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL, CosmosDB

  • Event Hub, Service Bus, Kafka

  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  • API Management

• Lead migration and re-platforming of legacy trading systems to cloud-native architectures.
