Job Description

We are looking for an AI Software Engineer to join our AI agentic engineering team. This role focuses on designing and delivering backend services, APIs, and guardrail components that enforce safe and predictable system behavior across multiple services.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript, hands-on AWS experience, and expertise in Terraform, backend architecture, and cross-service enforcement patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs that enforce system behavior across multiple services.

• Define enforcement, filtering, and validation mechanisms within system architectures.

• Build cross-service controls and establish reusable implementation patterns.

• Improve observability through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Own shared tooling and platform components used across engineering teams.

• Mentor engineers on defensive programming, safe design, and failure handling.

• Define and document interface contracts and system-level enforcement patterns.

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable backend systems.

Required Qualifications

• 5 8 years of software engineering experience.

• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience delivering production systems on AWS, including Lambda, Fargate, and API Gateway.

• Experience building production systems on AWS using Terraform.

• Experience designing enforcement, filtering, or validation logic across multiple services.

• Proven ability to define interfaces, contracts, and patterns adopted by other engineering teams.

• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers on defensive design and safe coding practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience designing and building agentic workflows or multi-agent systems.

• Familiarity with LLM integration patterns, including prompt injection detection, guardrail design, and output filtering.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, including model invocation, guardrail configuration, or AgentCore runtimes.

• Experience with agentic or multi-step workflow systems.

• Background in platform engineering or developer tooling roles.
