Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Amazon Connect Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade cloud telephone and contact center services using Amazon Connect. This role will focus heavily on the architecture and delivery of telephony services, call routing, voice infrastructure, phone numbers, carrier integration, and SIP-based communications.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Amazon Connect and traditional enterprise telephony, with the ability to bridge legacy telephone environments with modern cloud-based communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Amazon Connect telephony solutions for enterprise environments.
- Design and manage inbound and outbound telephone services, including: DID and toll-free numbers, Number porting and provisioning, Call routing and queuing, IVR and call flows, Business hours, holidays, and emergency routing, Caller ID and outbound dialing, Call recording and monitoring
- Design integrations between Amazon Connect and telecommunications carriers/service providers.
- Develop and support SIP, VoIP, PSTN, and telephony connectivity solutions.
- Architect call routing strategies across Amazon Connect, legacy PBX systems, SIP infrastructure, and other telephony platforms.
- Lead telephone number management, including acquisition, porting, inventory, routing, and lifecycle management.
- Design highly available and resilient voice architectures with appropriate redundancy and disaster recovery.
- Develop Amazon Connect contact flows using IVR, prompts, queues, routing profiles, and contact attributes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise telecommunications, voice engineering, or contact center architecture.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Amazon Connect solutions.
- Strong understanding of PSTN, SIP, VoIP, DID, toll-free services, and telephone number provisioning.
- Experience with SIP trunks, SBCs, carrier services, and telecom provider integrations.
- Strong experience of Amazon Connect
