Job Summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of experience in building, automating, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
  • Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system reliability.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Maintain configuration management and deployment automation.
  • Support high availability, disaster recovery, and system scalability initiatives.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog.
  • Knowledge of networking, load balancing, DNS, SSL, and security best practices.
  • Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Helm, Argo CD, or OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of container security and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with Kafka, Redis, or message queues.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) are a plus.
  • Financial Services or Banking domain experience.

Education

  • Bachelor''''s or Master''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
