Description

We are looking for a SharePoint Developer to lead the redesign and modernization of a company intranet for a business in the credit services industry. This Contract position is based in Houston, Texas, and will focus on creating a more stable, user-friendly Microsoft 365 SharePoint environment that supports day-to-day collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong back-end development experience, hands-on knowledge of Power Platform tools, and the ability to build a clean, organized intranet experience that is easier to maintain.

Responsibilities:
Redesign the existing intranet within Microsoft 365 SharePoint to deliver a modern, reliable, and intuitive user experience.
Build and configure department-specific pages so teams such as HR and IT can manage and share information effectively.
Develop back-end components and supporting functionality that improve performance, usability, and long-term maintenance.
Create and implement Power Automate flows to streamline routine processes and reduce manual administrative work.
Use Power Apps where appropriate to add interactive features and improve how employees access internal resources.
Assess limitations in the current SharePoint environment and resolve recurring stability issues through updated architecture and improved site design.
Partner with stakeholders to organize content, define page structures, and align the intranet with operational needs.
Apply SharePoint administration best practices to support governance, permissions, and ongoing content management.

Requirements

Proven experience developing and administering SharePoint solutions in Microsoft 365 environments.
Hands-on ability to design and support modern intranet sites with strong attention to usability and structure.
Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow and application development.
Solid back-end development skills with the ability to extend and support SharePoint-based solutions.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks used to enhance SharePoint user experiences.
Ability to evaluate legacy SharePoint environments and translate business needs into updated technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders in a remote setting.
