Summary

Job Title: Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (Lead SDET)

Location- Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead SDET to drive quality engineering practices by designing robust test frameworks, automating testing processes, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role combines strong software development skills with deep testing expertise and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of scalable test automation frameworks
Define and implement test strategies for functional, regression, performance, and API testing
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality at every stage
Drive shift-left testing and continuous testing practices in CI/CD pipelines
Review code, test cases, and automation scripts to maintain quality standards
Identify, track, and manage defects through resolution
Mentor and guide QA/SDET team members
Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed
Integrate automation into CI/CD tools and pipelines

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong programming skills (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
Exposure to security testing practices

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
7–10+ years of experience in QA/Automation testing with leadership experience
