Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves developing comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements. The ideal candidate will contribute to test planning, automate test cases for UI and databases using tools like Selenium/Tosca, and work collaboratively with development teams in an Agile environment to identify and resolve defects.
Responsibilities: - Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
- Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
- Automate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca
- Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
- Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results
- Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
- Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
- Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
- Take ownership in end-to-end testing
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
- Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation
Requirements: - Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math) and a minimum of 6 years of experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing
- Experience with Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database
- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changes
- Experience with Autosys scheduling of jobs
- Able to write and execute Unix commands
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins
- Experience with Unix
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)
- Hands-on Agile experience
- Experience in the Banking domain
- Prior experience working with globally distributed teams
- Strong problem identification, solving, and communication skills
Pay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hour
