OverviewLMI is seeking an experienced
Cloud Network Engineer with a minimum of an active SECRET clearance and at least 3 years of demonstrated experience to support the United States Army. This role focuses on the integration of on-prem hardware solutions with cloud-based software defined networking. You will work directly with US Army mission partners to bridge the gap between physical hardware and cloud-based digital solutions for the Warfighter.
You should be comfortable working at the intersection of hardware and software, collaborating closely with platform engineers to integrate edge devices into broader DevSecOps pipelines and cloud-native architectures.

This position requires an active Secret clearance. Responsibilities- Responsible for evaluating cloud-based technical solutions/designs in accordance with client requirements
- Provide expertise to monitor the designing and engineering of infrastructure and applications to the Cloud
- Responsible for ensuring that all vendor solutions comply with industry and Government-mandated security protocols, controls, and best-practices
- Work closely with Cybersecurity resources to document controls, support accreditation, Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation and provide metrics to comply with audits
- Responsible for escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate levels for clarification and resolution
- Understanding of circuit types and general bandwidth per type
- Knowledge (understanding) of logical Network Topologies
- Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS)
- Understanding of network device types, especially firewalls, routers, switches and Wide Area Network (WAN) Optimizer appliances
- Ability to understand and assist with network design diagrams to better support the program and overall understanding of network activities
- Understanding of Virtual Route Forwarding (VRF), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and other network security capabilities available for potential system use
- Provide Technical and Strategic Subject Matter Expertise on transport solutions from Denied, Distributed, Intermittent, and Low-bandwidth (DDIL) environments to a cloud-based environment
QualificationsQualifications - Clearance: Minimum of an active SECRET clearance.
- Education: STEM Bachelor's degree or related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-years of experience
- Government Experience: Previous government technology experience
- Programming: C and C++ for embedded systems; familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.
- Automation: Experience using GitLab for CI/CD and automated firmware build environments.
- Linux Toolsets: Strong familiarity with Linux for cross-compilation and network-related troubleshooting.
- Security: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent).
- Agile: Experience working with Agile teams to deliver iterative hardware/software increments.
Preferred Qualifications - Top-Secret clearance
- Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of Army PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) or electronic warfare systems.
- Experience with Docker for containerized embedded build environments.
- Familiarity with Bus protocols (CAN, MIL-STD-1553) and tactical data links.
- Experience with Android NDK (Native Development Kit) for high-performance mobile integration.
Target Salary Range: $140,000 - 160,000
