AWS Data Architect

Role: AWS Data Architect

Location: Torrance CA(onsite)

Duration: Contract

Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms
3+ years of hands on experience with AWS cloud services
Strong expertise in:
o Data warehousing and data lake architectures
o Distributed systems and big data technologies
Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
Strong knowledge of security, IAM, networking, and compliance in AWS
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms
3+ years of hands on experience with AWS cloud services
Strong expertise in:
o Data warehousing and data lake architectures
o SQL and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
o ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration
Solid understanding of:
o Distributed systems and big data technologies
o Streaming and real time data processing
Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
Strong knowledge of security, IAM, networking, and compliance in AWS
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred / Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka
Exposure to AWS Lake Formation, Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi
Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and lineage tools
Experience supporting AI/ML workloads on AWS (SageMaker)
Prior experience in regulated industries (Banking, Healthcare, Telecom, Retail)
AWS Certifications (Preferred)
AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
AWS Certified Database Specialty
