Title: Active Directory Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX

Duration: 24 month contract to hire position

Seeking a seniorlevel Active Directory Engineer with deep expertise in the inner workings of domain controllers and onprem AD infrastructure. This is a true engineering role not an AD admin position.

Required Experience

• Exceptional scripting capability using PowerShell (expert level) and some Python
• Strong, handson understanding of the guts and internals of domain controllers
• Experience virtualizing ADrelated applications
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AD issues endtoend
• Background in fully onprem Active Directory environments
• Broader infrastructure environment experience is flexible focus is on AD depth

Core Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and manage domain controllers
• Join controllers to domains and separate/remove controllers cleanly
• Manage and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Diagnose and recover AD outages
• Understand and optimize AD replication processes
• Patch, maintain, and harden domain controllers
• Support virtualization challenges related to AD components
• Script automation and tooling
