SQL Database Administrator

Immediate and long-term contract opening for a SQL Server DBA to support a large-scale production environment (~700 databases). This role focuses on performance tuning, query optimization, and database reliability, with exposure to security / SOC / detection engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain SQL Server production databases at scale
• Troubleshoot performance issues (blocking, deadlocks, query tuning)
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures (T-SQL)
• Support HA/DR environments (Always On, replication, clustering)
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages and SSRS reports
• Manage database access and automation (SQL Agent, PowerShell)
• Partner with security/SOC teams supporting detection data environments

Required Skills:

• 5+ years SQL Server DBA experience
• Strong experience with SSMS, T-SQL, performance tuning
• Experience with HA technologies (Always On, clustering, replication)
• Experience supporting large-scale production environments
• Exposure to SOC, SIEM, or detection engineering environments

Nice to Have:

• SSIS / SSRS development
• PowerShell scripting
• Monitoring tools (SQL Sentry, SolarWinds, Idera)
• Certifications (Security+, CySA+, GCED)
