Description Robert Half is looking for an
interim CIO to support a Pacific Northwest based client. This is a contract role that will go through the end of this year.
Duration: End of year
Location: Onsite in Portland, flexible with hybrid work
Pay rate: up to $145/hourly (W2)
Job Responsibilities:- Define and execute an enterprise technology roadmap.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing technology team distributed across multiple offices
- Champion and support the team on major initiatives, including an enterprise ERP transition
- Lead SharePoint migration and data warehouse implementation
- Champion an AI strategy, building on early momentum with enterprise AI tools to drive meaningful productivity gains
- Facilitate collaborative solutions across IT and design/technology functions that support both business operations and creative work
- Maintain a strong security posture and compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks, enabling continued growth in government and regulated projects
- Position the organization as an industry leader in the innovative application of technology
Requirements - 15+ years of progressive technology leadership with 7+ years directing multi-location teams
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to translate complex technology concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative leadership style suited to a partnership-driven culture that values consensus and inclusion
- Professional services firm experience required
- Proven track record leading enterprise transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, cloud migrations, and digital workplace initiatives
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise security; familiarity with ERP platforms a plus
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., CMMC, FedRAMP, or similar)
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications valued
