Job Summary

We are seeking an enterprise-grade Contentful Architect to spearhead the technical design and system engineering of our global, headless eCommerce platforms. In this specialized role, you will be the principal authority responsible for structural content design, platform performance, API orchestration, and developer tooling governance. You will design resilient multi-space content frameworks that scale seamlessly across international markets, integrating Contentful with transaction engines, search platforms, and high-performance frontend applications.

1. Enterprise Content Modeling & Schema Engineering

• Experience Required: Minimum 4 Years
• Focus Areas: Advanced structural configuration of modular schemas; designing complex object references, validation strategies, and self-referencing nodes; implementing patterns to completely prevent "content model bloat"; and decoupling layout structures from business data logic to serve multi-channel presentation frontends.

2. Space Governance, Multi-Environment Architecture & CI/CD Pipelines

• Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years
• Focus Areas: Designing multi-tenant space topologies; managing environment aliases, cross-space links, and platform migrations; writing automated migration scripts using the [strong style="font-weight: bolder;"]Contentful Migration CLI; and integrating schema changes directly into automated Git-based DevOps/CI-CD workflows.

Key Performance Responsibilities

Technology Roadmap & Technical Architecture

• Architect end-to-end headless layouts connecting Contentful to commercial platforms, search frameworks (e.g., Algolia), custom personalization modules, and transactional checkout engines.
• Define service level agreements (SLAs), platform usage budgets, and API caching strategies (using CDNs like Cloudflare, Fastly, or Akamai) to optimize response times.
• Review all major content schema adjustments to ensure optimal query performance, asset caching, and clean JSON payloads.

DevOps Integration & Quality Assurance

Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Domain Capabilities

• 8+ years of technical software architecture experience, with a solid focus on modern headless commerce or content structures (MACH principles).
• Stack Expertise: Strong hands-on proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, Next.js, React, and serverless environments (AWS Lambda, Vercel, or Netlify).
• Tooling Knowledge: Expert-level mastery of Postman, Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), Jira, and cloud-native architecture mapping utilities.

Leadership Competencies

• Proven track record of guiding architectural decisions for globally distributed engineering teams.
• Exceptional technical communication and presentation abilities to easily explain complex API structures to executive leadership.

Educational Background
