Summary

Our East Coast Healthcare client is seeking a Network Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimization of enterprise network and telecommunications systems across multiple facilities. This role ensures the reliability and performance of mission-critical network services, including data, voice, and wireless infrastructure. This onsite role has an initial duration of 3 months.



Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN).
  • Support and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches (Nexus), and VoIP systems.
  • Administer and maintain RightFax enterprise systems.
  • Configure and support Cisco IP Phones, CUCM, and Cisco Unity Connection.
  • Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and network connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network performance and perform root cause analysis of system failures.
  • Work with telecom carriers on system implementations and outages.
  • Maintain telecommunications equipment, circuits, and phone systems.
  • Lead or support network infrastructure projects across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with change management procedures and documentation standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior network staff.



Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking, advanced routing/switching, and VoIP systems.
  • Experience with technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN, VLANs, QoS, ACLs, NAT, and SNMP.



Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP or CCDP certification
  • Experience with RightFax, Cisco Nexus, and enterprise IP telephony systems
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments
