Summary

In Sensing & Connectivity, we use on-device sensors and wireless technologies to understand motion and orientation, help pinpoint location, understand users' context, and combine on-device data with machine learning to create immersive and intelligent experiences.\\n\\n

As a Software Engineer on the Location & Motion team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of data-focused projects and tasks: from apps & tools for collecting & analyzing field data to data sets for training ML models or evaluating large language model output.\n\n

Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative / technical field (math, physics, statistics, engineering, information management, computer science, or similar)\nExperience with large language models: understanding of patterns/approaches/constraints for large language model prompting, understanding of approaches and techniques for output evaluation and benchmarking\nExcellent communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences\nProgramming skills in Python\nExperience with data visualization techniques and software such at matplotlib and Tableau\nUnderstanding of data privacy, security, and ethical data handling practices

Experience working with sensor data, IoT systems, or mobile device telemetry.\nProgramming skills on Apple's platform - Swift, Objective-C, Foundation Framework\nExperience with big data systems and tools like SQL, Hive, Spark. Ability to work with large datasets.\nExperience with geospatial data analysis and location-based services\nKnowledge of climate science, environmental impact measurement, or sustainability metrics\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid foundation in mathematics and physics\nExperience with MCP Servers, AI Agents, advanced Prompt Engineering, and using AI for complex automated data analysis\nProficiency working independently and proactively with stakeholders to drive progress and empower decision-making
