Detailed JD:
As a Android Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development efforts and providing guidance to the engineering team across Schwab's suite of mobile applications for Retail, Retirement, and Intelligent Assistant. You will participate in design discussions as well as mentor and remove roadblocks for engineers on the team.
What you are good at
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
• Directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications
What you have
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of Android development experience with team leadership experience
• Extensive experience developing complex Android applications in an enterprise environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and deep experience coaching and mentoring junior developers
• Experience with REST, JSON, XML and interfacing Android applications to server-side APIs.
• Proficiency with Kotlin strongly preferred
• Solid grasp of algorithms, memory management, and real-time communications
• Familiarity with Agile practices
• Hands-on experience supporting multiple versions of Android SDKs, screen resolutions and device types.
• An expert understanding of the Android SDK and NDK
