Functional Role: Yardi Admin

Duration: 6+Months Contract to Hire
Overview of project/skills required:
Current person spends a lot of his time doing tickets related to Yardi – usually staff errors that need to be fixed for a variety of different reasons – or small mini projects – heavy lift to do all the tickets and working through the problem – you usually have to walk through with the person – needs people skills and understands the backend of Yardi and some of their programs and some financials within yard – older version of Yardi – version 7 but slowly moving to the elevate platform – they need to know procure to pay – the basic f9iancials – residential – public housing – inspection and maintenance apps and how they connect. They might be doing the BA and PM work but that it really what they want the current person to do – it would be nice if they had some SQL skills or BI skills so they could do some reporting – they have premade reports so if they are versatile enough to be taught that would be great – most reports are done with SQL
This role is focused on hands on Yardi application support, ticket resolution, and small enhancement projects. The position exists to centralize Yardi ownership and relieve an existing staff member who is currently overwhelmed by Yardi related work.
Core Responsibilities
• Primary owner of Yardi application support, handling a high volume of tickets related to:
o User errors
o Data issues
o Workflow and process questions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues by:
o Walking end users through problems step by step
o Explaining system behavior and correct usage
o Applying backend fixes where appropriate
• Support Yardi v7 (legacy) environment with a gradual transition to Yardi Elevate
• Perform mini projects and enhancements related to Yardi functionality, configuration, and cleanup
• Provide functional support across Yardi modules, including:
o Procure to Pay
o Basic Financials
o Residential / Public Housing
o Inspections
o Maintenance applications and integrations
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams as needed
• Document issues, resolutions, and basic processes to reduce repeat tickets
Reporting & Data (Nice to Have)
• Run and support existing Yardi reports
• Modify or troubleshoot SQL based reports when needed
• Assist with ad hoc reporting requests
• BI / SQL skills are a plus but not required; must be willing and able to learn
Required Skills & Experience
• Hands on experience supporting Yardi in a production environment
• Strong understanding of public housing / residential housing workflows
• Knowledge of financial processes, especially procure to pay
• Excellent people skills and patience working with non-technical users
• Ability to independently manage tickets and small projects
• Comfortable working in an older/legacy system environment
• Willingness to work onsite and split time between two locations
Preferred / Plus Skills
• SQL or reporting experience
• BI tools exposure
• Experience in government, housing authority, or police department environments
• Experience supporting legacy systems during platform transitions (e.g., v7 → Elevate)
