Summary
The Oracle CPQ Architect is responsible for leading the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle CPQ solutions.
This onshore role works closely with business stakeholders, sales, IT, and offshore teams to translate complex pricing, configuration, and quoting requirements into scalable CPQ architectures.
Key Responsibilities Own solution architecture and design for Oracle CPQ requirement gathering workshops with sales, finance, product, and operations teams.
- Translate business needs into CPQ configurations, rules, and workflows.
- Design and implement: Product configuration models Pricing and discounting logic Approval workflows Document generation (quotes, proposals, contracts)Oversee integrations with CRM (Oracle Sales Cloud / Salesforce), ERP, and downstream systems.
- Provide technical leadership to offshore development teams.
- Ensure best practices, scalability, performance, and security of CPQ solutions.
- Support UAT, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in CPQ / Quote-to-Cash solutions.
- 5+ years of Oracle CPQ (Cloud) hands-on experience.Strong expertise in:BML (BigMachines Language)Advanced pricing and discounting models Configuration attributes and constraints Commerce, Configurator, and Document Designer
- Experience with CPQ integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.Solid understanding of Sales, Finance, and Revenue processes.
- Experience working in onshore offshore delivery models.Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
Oracle CPQ Certification(s).Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP / Oracle Sales Cloud. - Background in Manufacturing, SaaS, or Subscription-based businesses.
- Exposure to Agile / SAFe delivery models.Soft Skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
