Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Accessibility Assessment
Perform accessibility audits of digital systems and customer-facing assets.
Identify accessibility gaps and deliver detailed test results with remediation recommendations.
Develop and maintain accessibility test cases and testing protocols.
Evaluate vendor products for accessibility compliance.
Manual Testing & QA
Conduct manual accessibility testing before and after remediation.
Perform quality checks on accessibility audits and testing processes.
Validate accessibility improvements across web and digital platforms.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain testing data, audit results, and compliance documentation.
Support accessibility performance tracking, risk assessments, and reporting.
Contribute to accessibility roadmap initiatives and enterprise compliance goals.
Collaboration & Communication
Clearly communicate accessibility findings to stakeholders and development teams.
Provide remediation guidance including code-level recommendations.
Partner with internal teams to support accessibility initiatives.
Program Maintenance
Maintain accessibility testing libraries, standards, and reporting frameworks.
Mentor team members on accessibility standards and testing best practices.
Stay updated on changes in WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, HCI, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on digital accessibility testing experience.
2+ years working on digital product teams.
Strong experience with manual accessibility testing using assistive technologies such as:
NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
Dragon, Fusion, ZoomText
Deque, WAVE
Strong knowledge of HTML, ARIA, and semantic markup.
Solid understanding of WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 accessibility standards.
Experience auditing web applications and legacy systems for accessibility compliance.
Familiarity with responsive web design principles and user-centered design (UCD).
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
