About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Integration Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale our cloud-native Enterprise Integration Hub (EIH) on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The EIH serves as the foundation for real-time, event-driven integration across enterprise applications and supports critical supply chain and logistics initiatives, including our ongoing o9 Solutions transformation.

This role combines hands-on software engineering with platform automation and cloud infrastructure engineering. The primary focus is building and maintaining enterprise integrations using Java and Google Cloud Platform, while also contributing to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys developing cloud-native applications, automating infrastructure, and delivering scalable integration solutions that support enterprise-wide business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Integration Development

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based microservices and integration applications running on Google Cloud Platform.
  
• Build and support event-driven integrations using Google Cloud Platform Pub/Sub and cloud-native services.
  
• Develop reusable integration frameworks, libraries, and patterns that can be leveraged across multiple enterprise initiatives.
  
• Design and implement integrations between cloud platforms and enterprise applications including:
  
• Oracle Fusion
  
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  
• Manhattan Active
  
• o9 Solutions
  
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor existing integration solutions to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external implementation partners to establish integration standards and validate technical deliverables.
  
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and solution design discussions.

Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Automation

• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for automated Google Cloud Platform infrastructure provisioning.
  
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, and Maven.
  
• Support deployment automation for containerized applications and platform services.
  
• Implement monitoring, distributed tracing, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform reliability.
  
• Partner with security and infrastructure teams to maintain secure cloud environments, including IAM, networking, encryption, and access controls.
  
• Contribute to platform architecture, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, integration engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related technical disciplines.
  
• Strong hands-on Java development experience, including:
  
• Spring Boot
  
• REST APIs
  
• Event-driven architectures
  
• Microservices
  
• Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications within Google Cloud Platform (preferred) or another major cloud platform.
  
• Hands-on experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Google Cloud Platform Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar platforms.
  
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
  
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Strong understanding of API design, API management, and integration best practices.
  
• Experience working with enterprise-scale systems and distributed applications.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
