Job Description

Capstone IT is helping our client find a Senior Java Software Engineer who will design, build, deploy, and test Java applications in AWS. This engineer will primarily work with Java and Spring Boot, build and consume REST-based services, and support asynchronoevent-driven integrations using Kafka. The role requires hands-on AWS deployment experience and participation in an Agile software development environment.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot.
Build and deploy Java applications within AWS.
Develop and support REST APIs and client/server integrations.
Create MuleSoft endpoints and integrations.
Build or support asynchronous event messaging using Kafka.
Write and execute unit and functional tests.
Participate in Agile development activities including planning, development, testing, and delivery.

Qualifications:

8+ years of professional Java engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
8+ years building and deploying Java applications to AWS using standard AWS services.
Experience creating MuleSoft endpoints.
Experience with Kafka and asynchronoevent-driven messaging.
Experience developing and consuming REST endpoints.
Understanding of client/server application architecture.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Experience with unit and functional testing.
