Threat Analyst - Iran

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seekiing a Threat Analyst.

Responsibilities:
* Research and assess cyber and malign influence threats related to Iran and the broader Middle East, leveraging open-source intelligence (OSINT), social and digital media analysis, foreign policy research, and company telemetry
* Analyze adversary influence networks, state and non-state actors, and information operations (including AI-enabled threats), producing both rapid-response and in-depth intelligence reports.
* Collaborate and integrate geopolitical, cyber, and regional insights into comprehensive threat analysis
* Prepare and deliver written intelligence products and briefings for internal stakeholders and customers under tight deadlines
* Apply ethical, lawful, and innovative research methods to detect, diagnose, and deter influence threats in the online information environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Foreign Affairs, Security Studies, Strategic Studies, or History, with a focus on the Middle East (Iran strongly preferred)
* Demonstrated understanding of Iranian political, social, and security dynamics, including state-sponsored information and influence operations
* Persian (Farsi) language proficiency strongly preferred (reading comprehension ideal)
* Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to produce concise, structured, and actionable intelligence products
* Academic or professional experience in geopolitical analysis, threat analysis, intelligence research, or related fields
* Strong communication skills with the ability to brief findings clearly and confidently to diverse audiences
* Ideal for early-career professionals seeking hands-on exposure to global threat intelligence and influence operations
* Writing samples may be requested during the interview process
* Initial contract with potential for extension based on performance and project needs

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
