Job Description:

Overview

Our client is seeking an Application Solution Architect to design and lead API and real-time streaming architectures (Kafka-based) within financial services environments. This role will drive modern, scalable, and secure platform design across event-driven and API-first ecosystems.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Design and lead real-time data architecture using Kafka, Spark, and microservices
Define and implement API-first and event-driven architectures across hybrid cloud environments
Establish architecture standards for performance, scalability, resilience, and high availability
Embed security and compliance across APIs and streaming platforms (OAuth2, mTLS, encryption)
Guide clients through modernization from legacy systems to event-driven platforms
Collaborate with business, engineering, and security stakeholders to deliver enterprise architecture solutions
Provide architectural governance and ensure adherence to financial services regulatory standards

Requirements

6+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture
Strong expertise in Apache Kafka and real-time streaming platforms
Experience designing REST APIs, asynchronous systems, and microservices architectures
Experience with API gateways and integration patterns
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid architectures
Experience in financial services environments (banking, payments, capital markets, or lending)
Understanding of regulatory frameworks (PCI-DSS, SOX, etc.)
Strong stakeholder communication and consulting/advisory experience
