Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Data & Reporting Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce data structures, data objects, data extraction, data lineage, reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing Salesforce data, documenting data flows and requirements, optimizing reporting pipelines, and developing dashboards using Power BI.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce teams, data engineering teams, and reporting/analytics teams to understand business requirements, translate them into data solutions, and ensure accurate and efficient reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and work hands-on with Salesforce data objects, fields, relationships, and data models.
  • Extract and transform data from Salesforce for downstream reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Salesforce data lineage, including source-to-target data flows and dependencies.
  • Analyze existing data pipelines and reporting processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and improved data quality.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to Salesforce data and reporting.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable data requirements.
  • Create and maintain data mapping, data lineage, process flow, and technical documentation.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support the design and enhancement of reporting pipelines and data integration processes.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations based on business requirements.
  • Work with data engineering teams to define source-to-target mappings and ensure data availability for reporting.
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting performance, and overall data usability.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience working with Salesforce data objects and Salesforce data models.
  • Experience extracting data from Salesforce using relevant tools, APIs, queries, or data integration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data relationships, objects, fields, and data structures.
  • Experience with data lineage, data mapping, data flows, and source-to-target documentation.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting pipeline analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Power BI development, including dashboards, reports, data modeling, and visualization.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends, discrepancies, and data-quality issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer, or Salesforce Data/Analytics-related certifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and cloud data platforms.
  • Exposure to Salesforce CRM Analytics / Tableau CRM.
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating Salesforce with enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other large enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
