Senior Mainframe Developer

Introduction: We are currently seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to join our team in New Jersey (Edison). The ideal candidate will have expertise in COBOL, DB2, CICS, SQL, JCL, and Stored Procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of the Supply Chain area, and experience working with Retail clients is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, SQL, JCL, and Stored Procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design solutions
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing mainframe systems
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to mainframe development

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in COBOL programming language
• Experience with DB2, CICS, SQL, JCL, and Stored Procedures
• Strong understanding of the Supply Chain area
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Retail clients
• Familiarity with other mainframe technologies and tools
• Certifications in relevant areas
