Summary

Position: IT Security Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite from Day 1; no remote-only)

Interview Process: 1st Round Virtual, Potential 2nd Round In-Person

Key Required & Preferred Skills

GRC: Governance, Risk, and Compliance experience
NIST: Knowledge of NIST framework, controls, and compliance standards
Auditing: Experience providing audit evidence and creating audit documentation
Keylight: Experience with Keylight GRC platform
Regulations: Compliance standards experience (PCI, HIPAA, FERPA)
ATO: Authority to Operate renewal process management
Documentation: Security documentation, System Security Plans (SSPs), and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs)
Liaison: Cross-functional collaboration between IT, business teams, and management
Incident Response: Risk assessment, incident handling, and cyber event detection

Core Responsibilities

Oversee, maintain, and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).
Lead the Authority to Operate (ATO) renewal process and ensure continuous security compliance.
Work with stakeholders to track and resolve Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
Conduct security risk assessments, incident response, and trend analysis.
Act as a compliance liaison across technical teams, business owners, and auditors.

Basic Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, IT, or related field (or 5 years of equivalent experience).
Communication: Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
