A public-sector organization is undertaking a high-priority initiative to implement a unified Salesforce Licensing, Permitting, and Inspection (LPI) system to support core regulatory and operational business functions. To ensure the success of this technology implementation, the organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of this complex system.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the technology implementation, coordinating across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders, and ensuring that the Salesforce platform meets business needs throughout all phases of development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
This role will support efforts to standardize business processes, deliver a modern digital experience, and enable timely, scalable, and continuously improving technology solutions. The Project Manager will surface and drive resolution of key decisions, coordinate schedules, track deliverables, manage budgets, and establish milestones to ensure overall project success. The role requires close collaboration with business and technical leadership to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal product leadership, senior project leadership, executive technology stakeholders, external vendors, and business partners to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and strategic alignment
Develop and maintain project documentation including project charters, scope statements, project plans, status reports, and operational checklists
Create detailed project work plans and schedules, including dependency diagrams and required resource skillsets
Load, track, and manage project schedules and deliverables within enterprise PMO reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Project Online)
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet business and technical requirements with high stakeholder satisfaction
Communicate project status, risks, and issues regularly to senior leadership and product stakeholders
Facilitate technical support activities including architectural reviews, compliance reviews, and required project artifacts
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues; serve as escalation point for cross-agency issue resolution
Act as the primary point of communication between internal teams, vendors, and external agencies; coordinate meetings, track action items, and manage follow-ups in PMO systems
Ensure project goals, schedules, and functionality are clearly communicated to development teams and stakeholders
Develop acceptance test plans, validate testing approaches with business partners, and drive testing and acceptance activities
Ensure all team members have appropriate system access for collaboration, documentation review, testing, and product demonstrations
Maintain team rosters, access status, licensing, and onboarding/offboarding records
Track project budgets, vendor invoices, and expenditures; report discrepancies and progress to senior management
5 8 years of experience in IT project management, managing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives
Experience working within a project portfolio management (PPM) environment involving multiple vendors and external delivery partners
Strong issue and problem management skills, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools, including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Project, and/or Planner (Power BI a plus)
Experience managing large public-sector IT projects; familiarity with public-sector practices, policies, and budgeting processes preferred
Familiarity with organizational change management and end-user training initiatives
Solid understanding of PMI project management principles and best practices
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, ITIL, and related delivery methodologies (Theory of Constraints a plus)
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a highly matrixed environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communication for diverse audiences
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management methodologies
