Summary

Asset Manager

Note: This position is based out of our Hinton, OK, office, with an expected onsite presence 2-3 days per week. The role also includes regular time at our corporate office in downtown OKC a few days each month, along with travel to other company locations as business needs require.

The Asset Manager is a strategic role that will influence investment and expenditure decisions impacting the results of the Company. The Manager will stay abreast of market trends to recommend additions to or modifications of the Company\'s fleet of natural gas compressor packages. The Manager will establish and monitor maintenance practices and schedules to ensure the longevity of the Company\'s investment. This role is critical in executing the Company\'s business plan, providing support to co-workers and customers, monitoring equipment readiness, driving maintenance practice excellence, and leading and supporting change management and process improvement activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the equipment in our compression services fleet.
  • Participate in the capital planning, estimating and AFE processes as related to compression assets.
  • Analyze trends in compression service inquiries and monitor available fleet equipment to ensure that high-demand products are available, recommend make-ready backlog to accommodate.
  • Analyze utilization trends, make fleet addition and fleet conversion/modification recommendations in line with maximizing the opportunity for high return on investment.
  • Manage accurate recording of idle equipment condition to assist with future deployment decisions.
  • Manage the idle unit location storage strategy.
  • Assist in the logistics of getting equipment transported where and when needed.
  • Monitor idle equipment in the fleet, make recommendations for divestment, manage used equipment sales.
  • Lead improvement initiatives on both new and existing fleet equipment, directed towards minimization of cost of ownership, standardization of parts, flexibility in design, product and operational safety, and other areas that can increase utilization and profitability.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance standard documents and descriptions, assist in the macroscopic planning of on-going preventative maintenance including unit preservation while idle.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, collaborate with internal Supply Chain and Operations groups in identifying and selecting appropriate components and service providers.
  • Oversee internal overhaul, repackaging and make-ready shops, recommend and manage similar outsourced services when appropriate..
  • Oversee the management of the Company\'s emissions and air quality filings, testing and compliance.
  • Oversee the fleet data collection (telemetry) effort with our suppliers, manage appropriate access for coworkers and customers, provide training where needed.
  • Lead the effort on acquisition, standardization, and disposition of company owned vehicles, including supplier management, general maintenance practices, repair/sell decisions, life-cycle planning, etc.

  • Sufficient technical and mechanical understanding of natural gas engines, electric motors, compressors, heat-exchangers, control panels and other components utilized in natural gas compressor packages.
  • Knowledgeable in natural gas compressor package application, sizing and use from the perspective of the company as well as the customer.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, engine (Caterpillar, Waukesha, etc.) and compressor (Ariel, Gemini, etc.) sizing and selection software, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other software tools and applications that are beneficial to the position.
  • Thorough understanding of financial reports and calculations, ability to interpret revenues, costs, overheads, general and administrative expenses, depreciation, and other criteria in support of investment decisions and recommendations.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, business, or similar relevant field preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in the natural gas compression services or related industry, demonstrating continued growth in responsibilities is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work effectively at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization\'s facilities.
  • Must be able to access and navigate shops, production facilities, and natural gas compression equipment.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment where required.
  • Travel will be required, estimated at 10% or approximately two nights per month, but may vary.
