We are seeking a Purchasing Administrator for our B2C Division to join our team!

Summary:

Brass2Copper Mechanical is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to support our growing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, procurement, vendor management, material sourcing, and purchase order administration. This role is critical in ensuring that plumbing and fire materials, equipment, and parts are purchased accurately, delivered on time, and at the best possible value.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, possess strong negotiation skills, and be comfortable building relationships with suppliers while supporting field and project teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Follow procedures, and track purchase orders for plumbing materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  2. Source products and obtain competitive pricing from vendors and suppliers.
  3. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and maximize value.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
  5. Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays or discrepancies.
  6. Coordinate with project managers, warehouse personnel, superintendents, and field teams to identify purchasing needs.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning.
  8. Review vendor invoices and reconcile purchase orders, packing slips, and receipts.
  9. Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  10. Research alternative suppliers and products when necessary.
  11. Evaluate vendor performance regarding pricing, quality, and delivery.
  12. Assist in establishing purchasing procedures and best practices.
  13. Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
  14. Maintain accurate receiving records and create internal material postings.

Position Requirements

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
  2. Experience processing purchase orders and coordinating material deliveries.
  3. Strong vendor communication and relationship management skills.
  4. Experience negotiating pricing and securing favorable purchasing agreements.
  5. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.


Preferred:

  1. Experience in construction, plumbing, mechanical, or building materials industries.
  2. Knowledge of plumbing parts, materials, fittings, fixtures, and equipment.
  3. Experience working with purchasing, inventory, or accounting systems.
  4. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
