The Amivero Team

We are seeking an experienced analytical Data Analyst to design, develop, and maintain complex data models and dynamic dashboards that provide meaningful insights and drive data-driven leadership decisions for our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client. In this role, you will develop statistical and predictive data models, specifically for workforce planning and strategy initiatives, that align with agency leadership objectives and goals. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in data modeling, data analytics, and data visualization with knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) and open-source programming languages (Python, R).

What Your Day Might Include...

  • Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models to support reporting, analytics, and operational systems.
  • Define data structures, relationships, metadata, and transformation rules.
  • Support development and documentation of ETL/ELT processes and dataflows.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple systems, platforms, and formats.
  • Implement data cleansing, transformation, and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality controls and performance metrics.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Apply data visualization best practices to ensure clarity, accessibility, and usability.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders to understand mission needs and performance measures.
  • Provide analytical briefings and written reports suitable for technical and executive audiences.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required to hold a CBP Public Trust Clearance
  • Active CBP Public Trust Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 3-7 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, or data science.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and integrating disparate datasets.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using enterprise visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Experience applying statistical analysis and/or predictive modeling techniques.
