- You will serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/ INFOSEC) in the United Atlantic Region Network Operations Center (UARNOC) (N32), Operations Department (N3) at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMS LANT).
- You will manage and maintain internet protocol (IP) services, such as Domain Name Server (DNS), emails, instant messaging, and VoSIP.
- You will maintain Active Directory structure, manage accounts, network rights and access to systems and equipment.
- You will work with a team of military, civilian, and contractor system administrators, identifying and coordinating working assignments, ensuring that all team members complete equitable work.
- You will work with other system administrators to assess priority requirements, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of team members.
- You will assist in planning and scheduling, and assist with the installation of new or modified program of record (POR) and non-POR systems.
- You will assist with the completion of the System Verification and Operations Test (SOVT), and learn new support hardware and software.
- You will ensure that the information security/ information assurance policies and practices are applied and maintained according to DOD and Navy Instruction.
- You will implement security procedures and manage/administer security tools.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451/411, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

-Experience developing and maintaining technical and operational policies for personnel management.-Experience implementing configuration management functions, ensuring the control and auditing of systems and networks.-Experience utilizing health tools to measure network effectiveness, identify trends, and support fault isolation.-Experience collecting data using standard tools, analyzing, and reporting vulnerabilities, tracking outstanding vulnerabilities, and providing compliance reports.This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-2210-11.
EducationApplicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position of the GG-11:
Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management;
OR
Completed 3 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management;
OR
Graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements for the position.
