Location: Southlake, TX or Austin, TX (Hybrid - 3/4 days a week on-site)
Duration: 12 months with a potential contract to hire
Job Description
As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-performance mobile applications across a spectrum of iOS devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build compelling user experiences for both phones and tablets, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. In this role, you will maintain high development standards, optimize application designs through rigorous review and analysis, and troubleshoot production issues to deliver a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
Design & Development: Prepare technical specifications, design, and build native iOS applications while adhering to industry and organizational mobile best practices.
Performance Optimization: Assess and optimize app designs using evaluation tools and analysis to guarantee an exceptional user experience across all Apple devices.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Create and execute comprehensive unit and UI tests, utilizing iterative development methodologies like Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD).
Production Support: Support mobile systems in production environments, proactively troubleshooting and resolving technical bugs or performance bottlenecks.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for new development work, architectural designs, and system standards.
Stakeholder Management: Identify key stakeholders, assess their needs, and manage expectations effectively through clear and proactive communication.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of professional experience in native iOS application development.
Demonstrated proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI programming languages.
Strong familiarity with core Apple iOS frameworks and SDKs.
Proven experience in writing automated unit tests and UI tests.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a large-scale enterprise development environment.
Strong proficiency in or ability to quickly adapt to older codebases (e.g., Objective-C).
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to facilitate, prioritize, and make data-driven decisions.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of driving conflict resolution and influencing positive team outcomes.
