Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Security Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our cybersecurity team in Fort Worth, TX. Operating under a hybrid work model, this role offers the flexibility of remote work alongside scheduled collaborative days at our Fort Worth office.
In this role, you will be the primary defender of our cloud infrastructure, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures across our cloud environments. You will bridge the gap between complex security requirements and cloud agility, ensuring our data and platforms remain secure against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Engineering: Design, build, and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and security controls across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implement and enforce the principle of least privilege using advanced IAM roles, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Incident Response & Monitoring: Develop, configure, and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Security Center) to detect and respond to security anomalies.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular cloud security assessments, vulnerability scans, and configuration audits, then lead the remediation efforts.
- CI/CD Pipeline Security: Integrate security testing (SAST/DAST) and compliance-as-code into automated DevSecOps pipelines.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with DevOps, Network Engineering, and Software Development teams to embed security into the core culture of product delivery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5 7 years of dedicated experience in cloud security engineering, cloud architecture, or related cybersecurity roles.
- Cloud Proficiency: Deep, hands-on technical knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), with multi-cloud experience preferred.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience securing and auditing IaC templates (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Security Tools: Proficiency with container security (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), network security (WAFs, Firewalls, VPCs), and encryption standards.
- Scripting: Ability to automate security tasks using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Location & Availability: Ability to work on-site at our Fort Worth, TX office on designated hybrid days.
