Job#: 3021985 Job Description: Apex Systems is looking to hire an
ONSITE Desktop Support Technician for our client based out of
Goodyear, AZ.This assignment is anticipated to be a 12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first-shift Monday-Thursday schedule, from
6:00A to 4:30P.Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels, ensuring timely resolution for end users.
- Manage daily workload through an IT service management (ITSM) ticketing platform, documenting actions and updating ticket status.
- Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and network issues on laptops, desktops, thin-client devices, and mobile hardware.
- Utilize enterprise management tools such as imaging/patching platforms, directory services, and diagnostic utilities to identify and remediate system issues.
- Support and train users on core productivity applications, including email, collaboration tools, and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Assist with deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting of end-user equipment in operational or warehouse environments.
- Provide customer-focused support, ensuring clear communication and effective guidance to non-technical users.
Experience:- 1+ year of hands-on experience supporting end-user hardware, software, and telephony devices.
- Background in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop systems in warehouse, production, or industrial settings.
- Experience using enterprise tools such as Active Directory, device-management systems, or endpoint-support utilities.
- Ability to handle a high volume of technical issues while maintaining accuracy in documentation and follow-through.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, practical manner.
- 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse or similar environment supporting end-user equipment (preferred).
- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or vocational/technical training in an IT-related field is preferred.
