Job Insight

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Interoperability & Patient Access Consultant to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of healthcare interoperability solutions aligned with CMS interoperability and patient access regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, healthcare data exchange, and cloud-hosted healthcare platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and support Patient Access APIs, Provider Access APIs, and Payer-to-Payer APIs.
• Develop and maintain FHIR-based healthcare interoperability solutions using FHIR R4.0.1 or higher.
• Support SMART on FHIR authorization workflows and OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect integrations.
• Ensure compliance with CMS interoperability and prior authorization regulations.
• Configure and maintain healthcare data exchange for claims, encounters, clinical data, and formulary information.
• Support API documentation, developer onboarding, and third-party application integrations.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather requirements and support implementation activities.
• Participate in system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment.
• Provide ongoing technical support, issue resolution, system monitoring, and maintenance.
• Conduct training sessions and provide support documentation for end users and administrators.
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Healthcare Interoperability and CMS compliance projects.
• Hands-on experience with FHIR APIs (FHIR R4.0.1 or higher).
• Experience with SMART on FHIR, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of healthcare implementation guides such as CARIN IG, US Core IG, and Da Vinci IG.
• Experience with cloud-hosted healthcare solutions and API integrations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare claims, encounters, clinical data, and formulary data.
• Experience with system integration testing, API documentation, and technical support.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Healthcare domain experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, or healthcare payer systems.
• Experience with healthcare portals, data warehouses, and interoperability platforms.
• PMP, Scrum, or healthcare-related certifications are a plus.
