Job: OKTA/IAM Lead

Location: Remote from anywhere in US

This is 40 hours project- Need OKTA/ IAM resource- remote

Role Summary

The Lead Consultant will act as the technical and delivery lead for Identity and Access Management (IAM) integration, with primary responsibility for Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and OpenID Connect (OIDC) integration. The role ensures secure, complaint, and seamless access to the platform, hosted outside the State network.

Experience & Background

• 10+ years of IT industry experience
• 6+ years of IAM implementation experience
• 4+ years of hands-on Okta integration experience
• Experience working with government or regulated programs
• Proven leadership in fixed-bid delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Okta SSO implementation using OpenID Connect
• Integrate Okta with WIC Connect Admin Terminal and Vendor Portal
• Implement MFA aligned with State of Montana security policies
• Design role-based access using Okta claims or groups
• Support UAT and Production deployments
• Create IAM documentation and runbooks
• Lead client and stakeholder technical discussions

Technical Skills

• Okta Identity Cloud
• OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0
• SSO, MFA, RBAC
• REST APIs, JWT

• Katalon (test automation)

• AI-assisted tools such as Cursor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS solutions
• Exposure to WIC, SNAP, EBT, or public sector systems
• Security and compliance-focused delivery background

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Ownership mindset and leadership skills
• Ability to translate security requirements into implementation
