Position Summary
A senior-level Power BI developer is sought to lead and enhance the organization’s business intelligence capabilities. This role involves designing and developing high-performance reports and dashboards, establishing and enforcing data governance standards, and providing mentorship to the BI team. The candidate will work with diverse data sources, including both on-premises and cloud platforms, to deliver intuitive analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports to deliver actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to define KPIs, dimensions, and fact tables.
- Build semantic layers and star schemas to facilitate high-performance analysis.
- Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling, governance, security, and access control.
- Work with on-premise Oracle data sources and cloud-based data on platforms such as data bricks.
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to BI developers and analysts.
- Define standards for data security, including row-level security and data masking.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and DAX.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
- 7-10 years of experience in a senior BI role.
- Ability to act as a lead or senior contributor within a team.
- Experience working with both on-premises Oracle databases and cloud data sources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building semantic layers and star schemas for analytics.
- Knowledge of data governance, including security and access control best practices.
- Familiarity with the Azure cloud stack.
- Proven ability to mentor and provide architectural guidance within a BI team.
