Sr. DB Developer

Role Overview

As a Senior Database Developer, you will act as a critical bridge between complex business operations and enterprise-scale data architecture. You will own the design, optimization, and maintenance of our data warehouse and business intelligence systems, serving as a technical leader and advocate for robust data governance. This role offers a unique opportunity to drastically improve operational efficiency, accelerate executive reporting, and build reliable automated data pipelines that directly impact decision-making

Tech Stack: 

• Databases & Tools: MS SQL Server (T-SQL), SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, Database Mail.

• Data Integration: ETL/ELT architecture, Data Warehousing, specialized file formats (EDI/850 purchase orders, JSON, XML).

• Cloud & Modern Data: Experience or certifications in Azure, AWS, or Snowflake are highly desirable.

• Methodologies: Agile environments, CI/CD via GitHub/TFS.  

Core Responsibilities

• End-to-End Solutions: Own the lifecycle of gathering business requirements from stakeholders, identifying data quality issues, and translating them into high-performing custom database solutions. 

• Data Governance & Quality: Advocate for enterprise data literacy. Establish data quality frameworks to proactively identify and eliminate discrepancies, duplicates, and legacy inaccuracies.

• Pipeline Automation: Design and implement robust, reusable data transfer architecture (e.g., automated FTP/SFTP engines) and data pipelines that integrate multi-source data seamlessly.  

Key Impact & Achievements (What You''ll Do)

• Performance Optimization: Take ownership of legacy pipelines to streamline report generation from several minutes to only seconds.

• Executive Visibility: Update, refactor, and maintain critical codebases (such as daily executive sales reports) to significantly increase report readability, accuracy, and delivery speeds for key stakeholders.
